About Us at M. G. Maltby Ltd
M G Maltby are a local company with a large outlook on the future.
The management have 80 years of experience between them working in the electrical contracting field.
All our staff are fully qualified in there field and have all been C. R. B. checked for working around children.

1980 - 1981
Trainee Security Engineer at Scarborough Security Engineers where basic duties included installation / repair of Fire Alarms, Security Alarms and Emergency Lighting.
1981 - 1985
Summer - Primrose Valley Holiday Park. Working and managing within catering areas.
During this time I worked my way up from glass collector to bar manager running a team of 30 staff.
In the winter months we purchased several houses which we fully renovated and then resold.
1985 - 1987
Studying Electrical Installations in Leeds.
1987 - 1996
Working with various electrical contractors including Mick Maltby (M. G. Maltby Ltd).
Thus gaining vast experience and knowledge of all aspects of electrical engineering.

Steve Thompson ( Contracts Manager )
I am a fully qualified approved electrician with experience in construction, power generation, facilities management and electrical contracting.
I deal with all aspects of electrical design from the estimating stage to completion of and hand over projects.
I am the company health and safety officer responsible for implementation of both company and client health and safety requirements in conjunction with the managing director. I
Monitor and control quality and health and safety systems in accordance with the CHAS scheme.
As Contracts Manager I control and allocate personnel, plant and materials for medium and large electrical installation contracts.
Typical project values vary from £10,000 to multi million pounds and clientele ranged from health and local authorities, facilities management organizations, national and international.
